The London Stationery Show is around the corner!


As you all may already know, on the 28th and 29th of April, London is hosting its fifth Stationery Show. With visitor numbers having reached a higher statistic than last year, the event is set to be even bigger than it has before.

Chris Leonard-Morgan, the show’s Director, has said “We are delighted with the show’s pre-registration data so far. Numbers are up on the same period last year, and we’re particularly pleased by the eclectic mix and range of companies and types of retailers who are indicating they will take the time to visit – they reflect perfectly the broad appeal of stationery as a category, whether as a mainstream or complementary offer.”

Representatives from the UK’s leading stationers are set to make an appearance, and these include the likes of Paperchase, WHSmith, Ryman and Scribbler. Even department stores, supermarkets, visitor attractions and gift shops from around the country are attending.

Online specialists such as Amazon & ASOS and sector specialists in retail such as Cult Pens, Pilotfish, The Pen Shop & Osbornes will also be popular visitors.

And if that’s not good enough news for you, then listen up. Advantia will be attending! Yes, we being a key dealer group in stationery just couldn’t resist being a part of such a great event. But we aren’t the only ones as Nemo, Superstat, Office Friendly, Integra, Office Club, XPD and VOW Retail will also be there representing dealer groups and wholesalers.

Even with numbers still likely to increase, the Stationery Show is set to be the biggest so far because although the event is taking place in London, over 200 stationery brands and suppliers from around the world will be attending. Considering it is the only UK trade show dedicated to stationery, it is bound to be a fantastic celebration.

In addition, Chris says “Our visitors will be able to see more new products than ever before, and meet more people from the industry – it’s an easy way for buyers to get an overview of how the stationery market is developing, and how these creative and fashionable products can fit into their offer,”

It is clear the aim of the event is to get more people using stationery due to fact technology is slowly replacing some elements. Although we may be typing our way into the future, I believe there is nothing better than putting pen to paper. And this is what The London Stationery Show will be celebrating.

So join Chris Leonard-Morgan and all of the fantastic stationers, dealer groups and specialists, and make your way down to Islington in London next week for an awesome event!
