Nine Reasons To Mix Business With Sport

Image
Using sport as a marketing tool goes way back. Ever since Roman aristocracy bought or supported gladiators, people have aligned themselves with the prestige and excitement of sport, whether or not they’re running onto a pitch or facing an opponent. With 2016 bringing Wimbledon, Euro 2016, the British Open, the Rio Olympics and the Tour de France, this year’s summer of sport gives resellers ample excuse to stand out, capture customer attention and sell even more across all the categories. Here are nine reasons why mixing business with sport can make the difference: 1. Capture attention In this fast-paced digital world, consumers have messages coming at them from all directions. Whether we’re sending an email, writing a Facebook status, or placing an advert, our materials have to make their way through the clutter and into our consumers’ minds. Moving the conversation into areas that the consumer has an interest in could perhaps result in a more engaging meeting. 2. That wi...

6 Marketing ideas for Christmas

Image
The festive season is well under way, and there’s plenty of reminders on TV with all the big retailers releasing their Christmas adverts. However, Christmas isn’t just for the giants of the retail world. It is the perfect time for business product resellers to make their mark, whether they primarily serve other businesses or want the man and woman on the street to sit up and take notice. Therefore, now is the perfect opportunity to grab some attention for your offers and services. Here are six ways to go about it: 1. Decorate your web space Your web presence is important if you want to be noticed, and giving it a Christmas makeover is definitely a way to do it. Timing is everything, so use the majority of December for Christmas promotions. Also think about editing the design of your home page and social media profiles with Christmas elements that everyone loves to see, such as snowflakes, baubles, Christmas trees or even Santa himself. 2. Go festive with hash...

The Key to Creating Effective Emails

Image
Email is a widely used tool for business communications and the average office worker receives over 80 emails every day. Therefore, we must create effective emails to be noticed above the bunch.  However, how can you avoid your emails from causing tension and confusion, being ignored, or sent to the spam folder? And how can you write emails that get the results you want? Many of us are unaware that the answer to this solution is simply to have the correct content. However, this is easier said than done since the strategy can be complicated. This article looks at strategies you can use to ensure that your use of email is clear, effective, and successful. 1. Don't over communicate by email. One of the biggest sources of stress at work is the sheer volume of emails that people receive. So, before you begin writing an email, ask yourself: "Is this really necessary?” You should even think about using the phone to deal with questions or queries that are likel...

National Stationery Week Announce A Sponsor

Image
Organised by the London Stationery Show, National Stationery Week will run from April 27th to May 3rd. So make sure you use that incredible stationery of yours and note the dates down so you can honour such an awesome week! In the meantime, it has come to our attention that stationery giant ‘Nuco International’ will be sponsoring the event.  For all of you that don’t know, National Stationery Week is a celebration of the written word with the aim of getting the nation to put pen to paper. Last year’s event put the buzz back into writing, reaching 20 million consumers, with the message that modern technology will never replace the pleasure of writing by hand. And organiser Chris Leonard has vowed that this year’s celebrations will be even bigger and better. And, with that in mind, there’s no better company to throw its weight behind the campaign than Nuco International.  Louise Spencer-Stevens, Nuco international marketing manager, said:  “Nuco is thrilled...

Do noisy offices drain productivity?

Image
Recent research by Plantronics in the UK, France and Germany has stated that noise in the office can be a major distraction to completing your office work. This research proves a growing difficulty for the majority of employees - with the UK holding a high statistic of 89.9% (with France being 93.5% and Germany being 96.5%). Office workers from all three countries stated that a noisy environment is one of the main reasons for not completing any work which in the long run could affect company costs of up to £15,000 per year.   In all regions it is reported that three quarters of workers do not address the noise issues - or when the issues are in fact addressed; the actions have failed! Here at Advantia we have the radio playing throughout the entire working day and it most definitely helps our productivity. We all uncontrollably sing along to most songs that are played and some might say this is rather distracting, but for us it surrounds the room with a positive ene...
